Dr. Joseph Michael Miano joins the editorial board of the Journal of Biomedical Research

May 23, 2012: Dr. Joseph Michael Miano was formally invited and agreed to join the editorial board of the Journal of Biomedical Research during a welcome ceremony hosted by Dr. Qi Chen, president of Nanjing Medical University and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Biomedical Research. Dr. Miano is the associate director of Aab Cardiovascular Research Institute and associate professor of School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Rochester. He received his Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology from New York Medical College in 1992 and his post-doctoral training at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He serves as an editorial board member for Physiological Genomics and is a Consulting Editor for Circulation Research and an Associate Editor for Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology. His current research work focuses on the expression regulation and biology of several genes cloned from vascular smooth muscle cells (SMC) including serum response factor (SRF) and its coactivator, myocardin (MYOCD). He is also interested in the role of microRNAs in the regulation of SMC differentiation. The Journal of Biomedical Research is honored to have Dr. Miano as a board member and is looking forward to cooperation with Dr. Miano in promoting the development of the Journal.
